Now I know what's not allowed on the boat. (from...) EP. 4Now it's time for some real packing! Packing for a cruise might be a little different from a regular international trip because there are so many activities on board, from morning till night, and the weather on the ship is drastically different from the weather outside on the deck. Let's take a look at our editor's checklist of what we need to prepare for this trip!

👕 1. Clothing and Fashion Category (How to dress to look amazing?)
- Casual wear: Prepare about 3-4 outfits (depending on the number of nights you're staying). Focus on comfortable and easy-to-move-in clothes suitable for walking around and participating in activities.
- Stylish outfits for dinner: Dinner restaurants often request a dress code. Smart Casual and above. (No shorts, flip-flops, or tank tops for dinner, please.) Dress up nicely or wear a casual suit for glamorous photos!
- Sweater / Cardigan: This item is very important! Because the air conditioning in enclosed areas on the ship (such as the theater and dining rooms) is quite cold, and then you're in the open-air pool area above which is very sunny and hot. Layering your clothes, making them easy to put on and take off, is the best solution.
- Swimsuit (the golden rule): Only real swimsuits are allowed! T-shirts and shorts are not permitted in the pool. And this applies to children as well. Diapers are not allowed in the swimming pool. It has to be a swim diaper specifically designed for swimming.
- shoe: Pack your flip-flops for chilling by the pool and comfortable sneakers for a day spent exploring the ship.
🧳 2. Essential Personal Items
- Your actual passport (the most important in the world!): There must be remaining expiration date. Not less than 6 months Counting from the day of return.
- Personal medications and motion sickness medication: Even though the large ship is very stable, it's better to have one for peace of mind.
- Toothbrush and toothpaste: Usually, soap, shampoo, and lotion are provided on board, but sometimes a toothbrush set might not be included. It's best to bring your own.
- Sunscreen: For outdoor activity zones.
- Universal power adapter: To reiterate, it must be this type. No cords and no surge protection. Okay.
- Power bank and charging cable: Taking photos and videos all day long will definitely drain the battery.
💡 3. The "Secret Items" category, Pro-Tips from Cruise.
These things are okay without, but having them would make life on the ship so much more perfect!
- Neck strap (Lanyard): On the ship, you use a "key card" to enter your room and make purchases constantly. Keeping the card in a lanyard makes it easy to access and prevents it from getting lost.
- Personal water bottle: There are several free drinking water and ice stations on the boat. Feel free to bring your own Yeti cup or water bottle to refill.
- Food containers (Tupperware): Sometimes we don't finish everything at a buffet, or we want to grab some bread/cookies to enjoy on the balcony. Having a small container with you is convenient and prevents spills.
- Clothes clips / Magnetic hooks: Most cruise ship cabin walls are made of steel, allowing you to attach magnetic hooks to hang hats and jackets, saving a lot of space in the cabin!
🎒 4. The most important trick! “The Ultimate Carry-on Bag”
This point is something the editor wants to emphasize! On your first day on the ship, your large suitcases will be scanned by staff and delivered to your cabin, which may take 1-3 hours (some people receive their bags as late as 4 pm!).
so Everything you need immediately upon boarding the ship should be placed in your backpack or carry-on bag. namely:
- Passport and important documents.
- Valuables (wallet, jewelry)
- Regular medication
- Swimsuit (as soon as you get on the boat, change into your swimsuit and jump into the pool with the slide before anyone else – no need to wait in long queues!)
- Charging cable and power bank.
